Mildura Arts Centre Gallery
On our last visit to this gallery (June 2002) there was a disappointingly
small range of works on display (lack of space?). However, the visit was
certainly worthwhile because of the fascinating Rio Vista. The
grounds of the gallery also contain a significant collection of sculpture
from 1960 - 1980.
Australian Inland Botanic Garden, Gol Gol
This large site specialises in Australian plants of the arid inland
region.

Mildura Writers' Festival
Held every July, the Mildura Writers Festival presents
four days of words, food and wine featuring Australian and international
writers. Established and emerging writers are acknowledged through the
Philip Hodgins Memorial Medal presented to a consistently outstanding
Australian writer and the Tina Kane Emergent Writer Award. Throughout the
weekend, invited guests and audience members intermingle freely, sharing an
experience that provides thoughtful, entertaining and challenging ideas
about writing and literature.

Sunraysia's Farmers' Market
The locally renowned Big Breakfast consists of produce procured from the stallholders is one of the draw cards of this market as well as the wonderful array of fresh foods on offer. There are stalls displaying goods ranging from honey, vegetables, jams, plants, baked goods, fresh flowers, dried fruits, oils, olives, wood fired bread, meats & more. Local entertainment, didgeridoo playing & cooking demonstrations are all a regular feature of the market.

Natimuk Farmers Market features a diverse range of regional produce - also
trees, straw, organic coffee and cakes, chutneys, sauces, alpaca fleece and
more!.No onselling or craft is allowed. Supporting regional growers and
performers. White Hat recommends that travellers will find great camping at the
Natimuk Lake as well as the traditional camping at Mt Araplies for those that
