Currently there is only one body offering an
accrediting program in Australia.
The
Victoria Farmers' Market Association offers accreditation to
farmers' markets in the state of Victoria. VFMA accredited stallholders

that have gone through the VFMA accreditation process as farmers who
grow or raise the produce they sell
- OR specialty makers who source
their ingredients from regional Victoria or another stallholder direct.
To receive VFMA accreditation a market must be;
- A farmers' market in a metropolitan area with at least 90% of
the stallholders accredited by VFMA
- A regional
farmers markets with at least 75% of the the stallholders accredited by
the VFMA .
