Early Fuji (late-Feb); Late Fuji (April); Pink Lady (late-April to May);
Granny Smith (April) Farm Gate SalesFruits for
sale are fresh-picked daily and and are not waxed or stored or use any
chemicals. As well as the fruits listed above,
garlic is also available.

Brunswick Market fruit & veg section
A general indoor market with long-term stall and shop holders with
butchers, a fishmonger, poultry, delis, dry goods, fruit and vegetables and
some variety and clothing stores. 6am to 6pm Monday to Saturdays (Fridays
open till 7pm). On Sundays only the fruit and veg section is open (enter
from rear) from 7am to 6pm.

This large antique market with a wide range of items is located on two floors of an old school building and also contains a museum with a small entry charge.It is morein the nature of a very large antique store and does not appear to have the space to cater for casual stallholders. When White Hat last visited (in April 2008) there was also a specialist coins area.

Caribbean Gardens Market
A large market picnic area and a big range of new and second hand goods. On Wednesdays entry is free and there is access to and general market, food stalls and playground. On Sundays there is an entry fee and as well as the market there is a children's train and boat rides, rock climbing. Caribbean Gardens Market is close to the Eastlink freeway and is now oppen Fridays as well as Wednesdays and Sundays. It is closed Christmas Day.

White Hat can recommend this market as a good source for those looking to do a quirky fitout as well as to theatre companies and film-makers looking for genuine period props. It now functions more as a warehouse so give a ring before making a special trip.
