Apollo Bay Market

An outdoor market with 20 to 50 stalls selling home made produce and handcrafted goods as well as local produce. Stalls are only available to local residents or rate payers and hence this market truly reflects the craft and produce of the Otways region.

Ballarat Antique Market

This large antique market with a wide range of items is located on two floors of an old school building and also contains a museum with a small entry charge.It is morein the nature of a very large antique store and does not appear to have the space to cater for casual stallholders. Brimbank Community Market

Brimbank Community Market.is a privately owned Australian company and aims is to develop the site in Ardeer into an iconic attraction, a valuable addition to the western suburbs. It is more than a traditional weekend market. The stalls are an attraction in their own right and provide a great atmosphere where patrons will find products and services only found at weekend markets, the market will also have a huge area devoted to entertainment, with a circus, amusements, children's play area, a traditional sumo wrestling ring and other entertainment. The main objective is to provide an environment where the whole family will find something to enjoy. The entertainment and community involvement will be varied and ongoing and it is hoped that each time you visit the market you will find something new and exciting. in.cube8r gallery is a shop/gallery which runs like a long term market. It is open to anyone who makes things by hand and supports all things craft, art and hand-made in Melbourne. The gallery is divided up into glass cubicles, shelves, racks and partitions which artists can lease for a small weekly cost over a three month period. There is no commission on items sold. When Whitehat visited in June2008 we discovered a treasure trove of new upcoming artisans as well as designers like Julie Ughetti, with an international reputation. The work ranges from the quirky to sophisticated and given the diversity of art work on display you appear to be guaranteed to find eclectic original pieces.

People stealing your goods can be heartbreaking and can often make the difference between making a profit from your efforts or not. Judging by our feedback, women's clothing and jewellery are the most common targets. Theft usually takes place while you are attending another customer and there are certain markets which are particularly prone to this problem. If you can, have a second person on the stall and adopt the practice of always having one of you on watch.

This market is on the second Saturday of the month and complements the long running Casey-Berwick Farmers Market also held at the Old Cheese Factory on the 4th Saturday of the month. Based in the St Kilda RSL (Var open at midday with drinks at RSL prices) girls & guys will find a cheeky selection handmade and vintage wares. The vintage wares are generally of high quality. You will also find fashions by emerging designers as well as original accessories and treats.
